Reblogged from my wedding website:  Aug 15, 2011 11:13 PM

The first day that Anthony and I finalized a tentative wedding date was a very blissful moment.  Looking back I can say it was like the eye of the storm because the next day all the things that needed to be planned and prepared started raining on me.  (I can really imagine why some people turn into Bridezillas during the planning stage. haha)

So I hired a pro-bono wedding planner. My sister, Cynes, who plans and manages events in her company.  The good thing about her being my wedding planner is that when she complains about how small my budget is, I just tell her that no one is stopping her from donating an amount to our wedding.

We were busy searching the net for suppliers when we found out that there was a Wedding Exhibit scheduled this weekend in Megamall.  We had already booked our venue by then so we were working around what was left of the budget and it was pretty hard looking for cheap suppliers… haha

Off we went to megamall to check out the exhibit.  We didn’t really go to megamall often so as expected, we got lost.  Then we entered an exhibit only to realize that it was the wrong one. haha
Finally we found the right one and it was like Wedding Heaven!  Every kind of wedding supplier was present.  It’s like a candy or toy store for a bride. haha

We spent the whole day getting brochures from different suppliers.  Comparing packages and haggling prices.  But we were able to book our Wedding Photographer and Videographer, B.A. Studio (  The deal breaker was their Pre-Nup Studio which has all these really cool themes and of course we got a lot of freebies.  So one great thing about exhibits is that they often throw lots of free stuff and discounts.

We also found the perfect wedding rings at AMI Jewels, (  I wish we could have taken a picture of it. I just completely forgot from the excitement.  They’re ordering it right now and should be available after 2 months.  It’s tri-colored and very very pretty plus it’s 40% off!!!

Last but not the least, we booked the supplier for the wedding entourage flowers, called 27A Flowershop (  Again lot’s of discounts and freebies. 🙂

The venue we booked had a package that included the flower arrangements for the ceremony and reception, the centerpieces for the tables, special flower arrangements for the couple’s table and presidential table and also the cake.

This is the link for the Wedding Exhibit: They will have another exhibit this October and will still be held in Megamall.

So now, the only major thing I’m working on is booking a seamstress for my wedding gown and the bridesmaid and flower girls dresses. 🙂
